I am a mom of 3 children ages 9, 11 and 13. I’m always looking for fun things to do with my kids. I love to make every day things into an adventure. I have done everything from themed birthday parties in the backyard to food based road trips into New York City. People are always asking me where I come up with my ideas so I thought it was time to share them.
Vesta is my screen name for my Blog and my social media. Vesta is the Roman goddess of hearth, home and family. Hearth is a word not commonly used today but the hearth was the heating unit of the home, as well as the place where women cooked for their family. It was considered the most used and most important part of the home. The hearth is truly what makes a home, a home. It’s not the crown mouldings or marble counter-tops, it’s the warm cozy feeling that occurs when family gathers together. In our current world of getting things done quicker, faster and easier, I would like to take a page from history and say let’s slow down, light a fire and enjoy the family.
