Mount Rushmore National Memorial
Mount Rushmore National Memorial is located in Keystone, South Dakota. The memorial is part of the National Park Service and you can get your National Park Passport stamped when you visit this site. Over 3 million people visit this site every year, from all over the country. In the parking lot, we saw a car with a license plate from Alaska. It was pretty cool to see how far people travel to see such a site.
The history and the sheer majestic vision of this site is worth the trip, however, I think the things we did leading up to the memorial and the things we did on the way home, created more memories for us as a family, than this site itself.
