National Game and Puzzle Week
November 23 – 29 is National game and puzzle week. This national holiday was put in place to encourage family time. It is always celebrated the Sunday through Saturday of Thanksgiving week. I have a closet full of board games and puzzles that lately, are hardly ever used. However, when we do make the time to pull them out, they are always fun. There are so many different types of games that you have to be able to find one that fits your time limit and personality. Here are a few of our favorites:
Time requirement: 20-30 minutes
Time requirement: 15-20 minutes
Monopoly: This game needs no explanation, it has been around for decades. However, if your game is older than 2007, you may want to purchase a new game that includes the speed die option. You do not have to play with the speed die but if you do, it definitely speeds up the time of play. I usually set a time limit before we start the game so everyone knows whoever has the most money at the designated time limit, wins the game.
Time requirement: 1-3 hour
Please join me later in the week when I reveal a game and puzzle all wrapped up into one.
